Our Donors
We only manufacture FMT products using stool from our approved donor pool, all of whom have been carefully screened for aspects including their lifestyle, occupation, attitude, and dietary approach. The screening includes a thorough assessment of their medical history and that of their closest relatives. We even investigate their birth method (if known), their mental health condition, weight history, and their motivation for wanting to become a donor. Our donor application questionnaire is regularly updated, considering the latest research, to identify factors which may impact the gut microbiome of potential donors.
01
Initial Screening
Before becoming an FMT donor, every applicant must complete our Initial Donor Questionnaire. This vital first step helps us assess whether a candidate meets the health and lifestyle criteria required for further screening.
By identifying potential risks early such as antibiotic use, travel history, or chronic conditions. We can ensure the highest safety standards are upheld for the patients receiving our FMT products.
02
Blood Test Targets
Donor safety and recipient health are our top priorities. All potential stool donors undergo comprehensive blood testing to screen for infectious diseases, underlying health conditions, and key biological markers that may affect the quality of the FMT product.
03
Stool Test Targets
Ensuring the safety and effectiveness of FMT begins with rigorous stool testing of our donors. Stool tests are vital for screening donors for a wide range of infectious pathogens, parasites, and markers of gut health.
04
In-Person Interview
This face-to-face interaction helps us make informed decisions and ensures that only the most suitable, healthy individuals progress to the next stage of screening. It’s not just a conversation, it’s a safeguard for patient safety.
05
Continuous Monitoring
Continuous monitoring of FMT donors is essential to ensure the highest standards of safety, consistency, and efficacy in our products. Unlike one-time screenings, our ongoing health surveillance allows us to detect any changes in a donor’s microbiome, lifestyle, or health status that could affect product quality or patient safety.
